Responsible for providing training and support to faculty and staff engaged in scientific research. Specific areas include, but are not limited to animals, biohazards, human subjects, export control, and responsible conduct of research including managing conflicts of interest.

Texas A&M AgriLife is committed to the protection of human and animal subjects involved in research, and to the safety of our employees and collaborators. It is the responsibility of each Principal Investigator to carry out research in compliance with applicable laws, system regulations, and agency rules and procedures, and to gain appropriate approvals from oversight committees such as the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), and the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
