System Required Training Courses

AboutAvailable online, via TrainTraq, these four required trainings are mandatory for all Texas A&M University System employees.

  • Information Security Awareness (English/ Spanish Translation available)
  • *Orientation to the A&M System (English/Spanish Translation available)

*Required for new employees only

Current Employees are required to complete three of these trainings on a recurring schedule throughout their term of employment. They are:

  • Creating a Discrimination-Free Workplace (Repeat completion bi-annually)
  • Ethics & Fraud (Repeat completion bi-annually)
  • Information Security Awareness (Repeat completion annually)

TrainTraq is an online training assignment and record management system through which employees can access required online training and other professional development workshops/events. Access to TrainTraq is through the Single Sign On portal.

Horizontal Rule Line

Creating a Discrimination-Free Workplace
This course provides an overview of A&M System policy on discrimination, including prevention of sexual harassment. Spanish version is also available. Employees repeat this program in a two-year cycle.

Ethics & Fraud
This course has two main sections. Section 1, Ethics, will familiarize you with A&M System policies and regulations that address ethics and provide an overview of common ethics issues you may encounter on the job. Section 2, Reporting Fraud, focuses on what to do when you suspect someone of not following ethical principles and standards. Spanish version is also available. Employees repeat this program in a two-year cycle.

Orientation to the A&M System
This course provides a brief introduction to A&M System structure and governance, and an overview of System policies and regulations. All new System employees are required to complete this training.

Creando un Lugar de Trabajo Libre de Disciminación
Este curso tiene tres metas institucionales principales. La primera meta es describir la filosofía y políticas del Sistema A&M en relación a la discriminación en el lugar de trabajo. La segunda meta fue proveer un breve repaso de las leyes federales y estatales con relación a la discriminación y al acoso sexual en el lugar de trabajo. La tercer meta era informarle acerca de los procedimientos a seguir si usted tiene una queja o una inquietud acerca de una posible discriminación en el lugar de trabajo.

Entrenamiento Sobre El Conocimiento De Seguridad

A&M SYSTEM TRAINING: (Spanish version of Information Security Awareness, course no. 3001). Este curso cubre las prácticas informáticas seguras, políticas y leyes relacionadas; reconocer y responder a las preocupaciones de seguridad. De acuerdo con el Reglamento 33.05.02 del Sistema, Requeridos Entrenamiento de los Empleados, todos los empleados del Sistema de A&M deben recibir entrenamiento sobre concienciación en seguridad de información dentro de los 30 días de la fecha de contratación y posteriormente cada dos años. Algunos empleadores del Sistema de A&M pueden tener requisitos más estrictos. El contenido del curso es proporcionado por el departamento de Redes y Seguridad de la Información, Universidad de Texas A&M. La formación en línea se ha desarrollado por Empleado y Desarrollo Organizacional, Universidad de Texas A&M.
