Texas A&M AgriLife Procurement and Contracts Office represents three agencies of The Texas A&M University System. These agencies are Texas A&M AgriLife Research, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory.
Texas A&M AgriLife Procurement and Contracts acquires the supplies, equipment, and services required for its agricultural research, educational and service programs. Supplies purchased are mainly for office, laboratory, and farm use. Equipment purchases include, among others, office and agricultural equipment, computer hardware and software, and laboratory equipment.
Texas A&M AgriLife Research conducts agricultural research at Texas A&M University in College Station and at numerous research units located around the state. The mission of Agency is to conduct research and provide regulatory programs for the benefit of the agricultural industry and consumers that maintain and enhance the state’s environment and natural resources; ensure a safe, wholesome, and affordable supply of food and other agricultural products; and contribute to the state’s economic vitality. The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service programs serve all 254 counties, providing research-based information and education for agricultural producers, agribusinesses, consumers, families, and youth. Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory performs diagnostic testing for the poultry and livestock industries, with a focus on identifying disease and facilitating commerce in livestock.
Purchases are made in accordance with Section 51.9335 of the Texas Education Code, The Texas A&M University System policy, and Agency rules and regulations. We subscribe to the Code of Ethics as outlined by the National Association of Educational Procurement and the State of Texas. Orders are awarded after compliance to agency, state, federal, and local regulations.
